Four Christmas gifts and a Mini Kracken
Our Christmas Company has arrived safely! And we are already having a blast.
And Guess What a big surprise but they LOVE IT HERE!
We got lots of great Canadian goodies when they came! Although I am still having anxiety over our great expenditures that added an extra 430.00 to their "over the limit" luggage weight.
Why do we have to learn things the hard way? Sunquest vacations has a lower luggage limit than any other airline at 50 pounds per person not per bag like we thought.
I said they should have put the stuff in a taxi and sent it to Chad's parents house that would have been way cheaper! but they had everything stuffed all over and they would have missed the plane. I guess we should be happy the airline took it down from 600.00 to 400.00. Talk about RETARDED!
Anyway we have been having a lot of fun. Chad and Locklin have been making a potato gun over the last week and they took everyone to Yan Ten (the beach)last night to fire it off.
We got one good blast then that was it.So they are working on it again.
hopefully we'll have it figured out this week.
When everyone arrived we went over to Ian and Deb's to put their stuff in the trailer
Jamie and Ashlee were very surprised they didn't have to sleep in a tent over there like we originally had planned, but when we got over to Ian and Deb's that morning the workers had torn off half the roof of the palapa to build a deck off the back to the jungle.
So Chad went and called Deb to see if they could stay in the trailer and of course she said absolutely no problem!
I can't even tell you how nice it is to have a little more space for them I can just tell its going to be a Awesome Christmas!
I asked Chad why he hadn't told them they were going to sleep in the trailer and he said its cuz Jamie asked him questions constantly the whole way down he didn't even get a chance! We all had a good laugh about that cuz that's "Our Jamie" Its his first time in Mexico so now I think he's almost knows as much as Chad now or more.
Today he met at least half of the people in Paa Mul and we looked at almost every place that was For Sale...AHHH dreaming of life on the beach and yes we are so lucky to live the dream!
Tonight the tide was way out! I don't think its been out this far since we've been here. It made it awesome for beach exploring. Over the last two nights we have had many Sea creatures visit our Palapa like a red star fish, black brittle star fish, sea urchins, see through little fish and the most exciting Chad caught a little octopus, it was crawling across his foot when he was standing on the rocks near a tide pool. It was very cool everything it touched it changed the same color, we saw it go blue, green, red and speckled like the rocks. The kids thought that was very exciting and loved touching it and having it suck against their hands with its tentacles. I however did not touch it ,just took pictures! LOL Thus the Name Mini Cracken (the name of the octopus thing on Pirates of the Caribbean)
