Happy Halloween 2008

Happy Halloween 2008

What can I say but WOW what an awesome Halloween!

We started the evening off with Pizza while Chad tried to figure out how to carve our pumpkin without all the ¨special¨ pumpkin carving tools. (Man how did we ever carve without those things?) He found a cute ghost and hardly waited for the kids before he got on the job. (A little too excited! LOL) Actually I’m not even sure is the kids helped at all.
The girls were busy doing beautiful makeup creations on their eyes then were getting into costume. The boys were busy getting their costumes on then making sure all their friends had something to wear.

Our neighbor Veronica with the two little boys had sent an email around for everyone to expect about 40 kids (some of the kids from a school were suppose to come but then at the last min decided to have a party at the school) So we had 13 kids from Paa Mul and a few Mexican kids So guess what that meant for our kids…you got it it, loads and loads of CANDY. It was really sick.

A good thing about it from Keltie’s stand point was here she is 17years old and still trick or treating. And no one thought anything of it. I guess when you live in a community with such a generation gap everyone under 35 looks like a kid! People were even trying to give me candy at each house. SWEET!

Our family had decided to watch Disney’s Haunted Mansion on the projector after trick or treating then as an after thought invited all the other kids over to watch it as well.
Some of the other parents hadn’t fed their kids yet so ordered pizza and brought it over so we had a grand total of 24 people crammed in our Palapa. It felt just like home.

After in the boy’s room bags of candy were dumped all over the floor and the candy trading began. Talk about Sugar OVERLOAD.

When we got it all cleaned up and everyone had left it felt like 10:00 but it was only 8:00 so we got out the projector again and watched the Legend of Sleepy Hallow. A Disney Halloween Classic, one of Chad’s favorites. JamKats two girls were still here and we all laughed and laughed through out the movie.
What a great night
